CAMERAS
AND EQUIPMENT
Toyo
Cameras
- I love Toyo cameras! I shoot a Toyo VX 125 B and I really enjoy
the camera. My personal preference is to shoot outdoors with a
fully functioning view camera but most of them are too bulky and
heavy to carry around with you. A few years ago, Toyo came up
with the VX 125. This camera folds up to about the same size as
a 4 X 5 field camera and weighs less than 7 pounds! I pack it,
all my lenses, filters, light meters, loupe, and 11 film holders
into one backpack with room to spare. Toyo has many styles and
sizes of cameras available.
Lotus
View Camera - These guys make some beautiful view cameras
up to 20 X 24 inches in size! They also have some great photographic
products available for large format photographers.
Wehman
8 X 10 Field Camera - This is a great looking camera and
weighs less than 7 pounds which is unheard of for an 8 X 10 field
camera.
Ebony
Camera - Here are some great looking field cameras from
Japan. If I was going to shoot field cameras, this is probably
the camera I would use.
Pictureline
- These guys are GREAT! They always have what I need or can order
it in without any hassles and they ALWAYS save me money! Give
them a call for all of your photographic needs and be sure and
tell them Jay McMullan sent you!
CHEMISTRY,
FILM, PAPER AND DARKROOM EQUIPMENT
Jobo
- I can't even begin to tell you how excellent Jobo's line of
products is. I recently purchased the CPP-2 processor. No more
hand processing or tank processing. The film I am processing with
Jobo's equipment is outstanding!
Kodak
- Where would we be without Kodak? I am a devoted fan of Kodak's
Ektachrome VS100 and many of their other films and papers.
Ilford
- Ilford makes many kinds of films, papers and chemistry. They
are well known for their Ilfochrome prints made from color transparencies.
Ilford papers have always been a choice of mine for fine art black
& white photography.
SOFTWARE
The
Panorama Factory - This incredible software stitches together
several images to make unbelievable panoramas! This is one of
the most exciting things I have seen for quite some time. Try
The Panorma Factory and you'll be hooked.
INFORMATION
Nikonians.org
- I stumbled across this website the other night. It is a great
site for Nikon owners with many discussion groups.
Cicada.com
- This
is absolutely the BEST site on the World Wide Web about
the Zone System! If you want to teach yourself about the Zone
System, check out this site.
LensWork
- I consider LensWork to be one of the best photographic magazines
on the market today. Purchase a copy today and see if you don't
agree with me. Good online resources too.
